ÉLÉVABEC — RETURN OF THE VERTICAL FORCE

A long time ago… in 1981, in a galaxy not so far away.

In the heart of Saint-Hyacinthe, a company was born with an ambitious mission: to help humans travel from one floor to another without having to master levitation.

Its name: Les Entreprises Élévabec Inc.

In November 2001, two sisters from Saint-Hyacinthe, Sonia and Sophie Rodier, took the helm of the ship and renamed the company Élévabec Inc. Raised in a family where entrepreneurship runs in the blood (probably in place of midi-chlorians), they pursue a very specific mission: making travel safer and more accessible for people with reduced mobility.

Their goal? To offer greater independence, improve quality of life and push the limits of accessibility. Who needs a lightsaber when you can have a good lift system?

THE RISE OF A POWER

In October 2002, facing growing demand and a galaxy of customers to serve, Élévabec moved into new premises in the Olivier-Chalifoux industrial park in Saint-Hyacinthe.

The ship was expanding. So were its ambitions.

Since then, Élévabec has been developing, manufacturing, installing and servicing lifting devices designed to meet the needs of the residential and public sectors. Because, unlike certain Imperial technologies, our equipment has to work in the real world. Every day. Without blowing up the Death Star.

Every building has its quirks. Every customer has their needs. And some spaces seem to have been drawn by an architect from the dark side.

That is why Élévabec builds custom devices, adapted to users’ functional limitations and to the constraints of the site.

Indoor or outdoor vertical platform lifts, residential elevators, freight lifts or other specialized solutions: we look for the right answer, even when the plans look more like an intergalactic navigation chart than a construction project.

Because a stalled elevator is rarely the ideal moment to meditate on the mysteries of the universe.
